 For New Puppy Owners!!!
You have a new puppy! Exciting and frustrating, all at the same time. Puppies are not born knowing what we want. So, start them off on the right paw. We can help you survive those first few months!!!
Topics Include:
Attention Sit Introduction to the Leash Potty Training Bonding
Appropriate Toys Chewing Nipping Jumping Up Groom Table Manners
We will introduce your puppy to reward based training. Using praise, toys, and treats. You will get an introduction on all of the topics listed, along with the tools to continue working at home. This class is private. We will meet 4 times for 30 minutes each session. Puppies will come with you and have the opportunity to meet our entire staff and explore the grooming area in a fun and interactive way.
AGE: 6 - 12 weeks

House Manners
Dogs 12 weeks and older are welcome in this course.
 We will meet once a week for 6 weeks. You and your dog will learn attention, sit, down, stay, walking on a loose leash, recall (coming when called), sit for petting, wait at the door, leave it, drop it and how to greet people and other dogs properly. We will work on tricks as time allows. Each week you will receive a handout with the instructions for the lessons learned. You and your dog will receive a certificate of completion once the course is completed. Dogs 12 weeks and older are welcome in this course.
Advanced Training
Dogs 6 months and up are welcome in this course (Younger dogs will be allowed on a per dog basis).
 We will meet once a week for 6 weeks. Your dog will build on the lessons learned in the previous course. We will add to those lessons with time, distance on the stays and distractions for all behaviors (toys, food, etc.), we will add Stand and Stand-stay, how to say "Hello" properly (both to human and other dogs), recall (come from, past and ignore distractions behind the person), Heel, and working off leash. We will introduce more complicated tricks as time allows. The dog should have completed previous training with us, but can also test in. The CGC Test will be offered at the end. (for more information on this please go to: http://www.akc.org. Dogs 6 months and up are welcome in this course, but younger dogs will be allowed on a per dog basis.
We offer consulting for specific behavior problems. Whether your dog has had these problems for years or you want to prevent them in your new puppy.
Rates
Training will be offered either at the salon or your home within 10 miles of the salon. Initial 20 minute consultation offered at no fee. This will be to evaluate your dog and come up with a specific plan of action.
